Zueignung receives Canadian premiere
On Oct. 21, 2016, the McGill University Schulich Singers, conducted by Jean-Sébastien Vallée, performed Swartz's Zueignung at Pollack Hall in Montréal, Canada. The program, called "The Y's: Music by a New Generation of Composers", featured the works of composers born in the 1980's and 90's. Zueignung was included among five other choral pieces that received their Canadian premiere that evening.
Prior to the concert, Swartz joined Vallée at CBC Radio for a live broadcast interview on Homerun with Sue Smith.

Zueignung received First Prize in a Southern California choral composition competition in February 2016.
